Refund Policy
1. Overview
The MusoMap mobile application is free to download and use for music fans and artists. MusoMap does not charge general users or artists any fees.
Certain premium dashboard features available to registered venue operators (including enhanced analytics, extended reporting periods, and priority listing) may be subject to a recurring subscription fee ("Venue Subscription").
This Refund Policy governs all payments made by venue operators in respect of a Venue Subscription.
2. Subscription Billing
Venue Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis, as selected at the time of purchase. Billing occurs at the start of each subscription period.
By purchasing a Venue Subscription, you authorise MusoMap to charge the payment method on file at the applicable rate on each billing date.
Pricing is displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) inclusive of applicable VAT at the prevailing rate.
3. Free Tier
A free tier of the venue dashboard is available to all registered venue operators and includes basic event listing management. Upgrading to a paid tier is entirely optional.
4. Refund Eligibility
We offer refunds in the following circumstances:
4.1 Billing Errors
If you were charged an incorrect amount due to a billing error on our part, you are entitled to a full refund of the overcharged amount. Billing error refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the incorrect charge.
4.2 New Subscriptions: 7-Day Cooling-Off
If this is your first Venue Subscription with MusoMap and you request a refund within 7 days of your initial payment without having made significant use of the paid features, we will issue a full refund at our discretion.
4.3 Service Unavailability
If MusoMap experiences a verified, extended outage (greater than 48 continuous hours) that prevents you from accessing your venue dashboard during a paid billing period, you may be eligible for a pro-rated credit or refund for the affected period. Contact us to report the outage.
5. Non-Refundable Situations
The following are not eligible for a refund:
- Subscription periods that have already been used or substantially used
- Cancellations made after the 7-day new subscriber cooling-off period has expired
- Failure to cancel a subscription before the next billing date
- Dissatisfaction with the platform after active use
- Partial months remaining after cancellation of a monthly subscription
- Partial periods remaining after early cancellation of an annual subscription, except where required by law
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your Venue Subscription at any time by contacting us at billing@musomap.co.za or through the venue dashboard settings (where available). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
After cancellation, your venue dashboard will revert to the free tier. Your venue listing and event history will not be deleted.
Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current or any prior billing period.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email billing@musomap.co.za with the subject line "Refund Request" and include:
- The email address associated with your venue account
- The date and amount of the charge you are disputing
- A brief description of the reason for your refund request
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 10 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after approval.
8. Consumer Protection
Venue Subscriptions are sold on a business-to-business (B2B) basis to registered venue operators. Where the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 applies, your statutory rights under that Act are not affected by this policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
MusoMap reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Venue Subscription after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
